Of all the things to be upset at Clarkson over this is probably at the very bottom of the list.

Yeah if you saw one of your mates nearly get killed by a guy you'd be pretty pissed and may say some things you later regret. I'm not meaning to excuse what he said, but I'd be bloody ropeable if a team-mate got sucker bumped like that.

I hope this doesn't detract from the main issue here.

The Webster family isn?t coming across to well in this. One of the family apparently works for RSEA and made comments that totally go against care.
Wouldn?t be surprised if she is sacked.
And as for Clarkeson he has a history, I wonder when enough is enough.
It?s a mess all round for both clubs.

Well he used to pride himself on playing unsociable football.
I get hes upset however he only could have made things worse.
Probably needs another few months off.

I love Ross the Boss, but I did laugh at his comments fervently defending the character of his player Webster on this occasion. I don't seem to recall Ross being quite so effusive in his praise of Andrew Gaff's character when it was his player (Andrew Brayshaw) on the receiving end of a similarly violent act on the footy field.

Always back self-interest, at least you know it's trying.

We know football is an emotional game and no one is more invested in the welfare of the players than the coaches but given his experience and standing in the game surely his focus should have been more on Simpkin than retaliating with the opposition players.
One day a player could respond physically with a coach if this sort of nonsense continues.
The AFL won't but should give him a final warning and say he will be subjected to 3 week suspension if he does this again.

His fine will not be included in North Melbourne's football department soft cap.

Guess the club pays it and other than costing them $20k there is no real penalty.

I thought so, so basically or potentially one of the part timers will likely have his hours cut back so all good for Clarko except for the suspended sentence.
