Keep Garcia please, he had an interrupted preseason last year and still made significant gains. A full preseason and he can become best 22.

I guess that's one of his knocks though, hasn't really had any major continuity in his time at the club

I think a trade period where we lose Baz, Macrae, Daniel, and Garcia sounds terrible on paper. You'd want to hope some midfield depth arrives the other way.

They played limited time in 2024, so are replaceable. I think Garcia will end up staying.

Are they really though? It would need a shift away from our main mid rotations we used through the year.

Given what we saw in the EF (and through the back end of the year) we can't afford to have Libba in our core midfield group moving forward... he just doesn't have the same ability to cover the ground as he once did.

I keep thinking back to the last quarter of the Collingwood game where we went young in the middle and over ran them, it's got to be the way forward.

I don't see Garcia as being particularly well rounded. He can lay a tackle when it lines up for him but I don't think his defensive positioning or running is that good yet.

It's my read of him as well. Good speed too.

We must have plans in place otherwise we would not be open to trading out Macrae and Daniel ontop of Smith.
