He played defence last week and Chol neat him pretty well.

I suspect he and Silvani may swap ends at some point, Silvani has real ticker and never gives up.

Say what you want about his goal kicking, he lead the comp in contested marks a year or two ago. He's a massive out.
Last week he pulled out and they said it was illness - teams playing games as usual.

They bought him some time and privacy. This week they have probably been as transparent as they can if it is indeed mental health concerns. I think they have handled it perfectly reasonably.

Just a bit of old school Bulldogs fatalism.

McKay's foot might be a ongoing issue, not an acute injury.

He is well on the path to delivering on that potential and his development is timely - there are injury concerns clouding Treloar's future; age could impact upon Libba's output in a year or so; and doubts still hang over whether Ryley Sanders will deliver. Unless we put succession planning into action now we could soon find ourselves with a midfield of only 2 A-Graders.

So that is why I believe we need to move forward with the next stage of his development by playing him mostly in the midfield, probably rotating through the wings. We have sufficient cover now in the back line. To not do so will limit his development and impact negatively upon our succession planning. And that, to me, is a failure.

And on the topic of succession planning, I believe the next action in fine-tuning our team structure should to move Weightman from the forward line to the midfield. I feel we're wasting his talent.

              Okay Thanks Critter.
Your answer above helps explain what you mean.
Huge JF fan to, and belive in him, but if he plays in a few different sports when Bont, Ed, Libba and Mennedy are all fit, then he can still develop for once Libba and Trelor are gone, to be ready.
He is already being fast tracked more than most.

So we have any word if Croft is debuting this week?
                BB.

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

Doesn't look like it. We would have heard by now if he was debuting so seems like just Liam Jones in for Arty... Guessing JOD, Arty and Poulter as emergencies

                    In Jones and JOD
                    Out Duryea and Jones

I didn't think they'd pull the trigger on Duryea

That's taller than expected. I wonder if JOD will play forward?

I'm glad they did, he looks spent. Freshen up might do him the world of good. With Liam back in we have an experienced onfield backline coach. Doc's transition to coaching is not unknown and he's good at it. I think he'll take it on the chin. Doubt he's played his last.

Shows we're serious about form and making tough decisions to win.

I think he must have an injury. They have had to play him bc of other injuries.

Freijah starting with Ed and Tim is a shot in the arm! I'm excited.
The Bulldogs have bolstered their defensive stocks for Friday night’s clash with Carlton.
