I don’t hate it, I’m wary about going the extra 2 talls I think probably 1 extra tall would be about right - ie Jones/Lobb back, Naughty/Darcy fwd and JOD swingman depending on game situation. 2 extra talls for 2 smalls makes us a lot slower, but I don’t think that’s a concern against Carlton anyway so maybe match ups dependent?

I think looking at that side Baker is the 7th defender and JOD will play forward, I’m okay with that I think we’re short a tall in the front half I probably just would have preferred Croft who can play higher. It’s probably a more ‘normal’ structured team like this and JOD can chop out in the ruck too leaving Darcy forward.

Overall there’s some weaknesses ie our disposal out of the back half is pretty shoddy and if any coach is worth their money they’d put all their attention into stopping Dale and we’re basically cactus out of D50. But overall with what we’ve got to work with it’s a pretty strong team and I’m confident

He played HB in the practice match against Hawks in the second half and played pretty well. He's a bit more Bramble than pure lockdown though.

Not sure Carlton have a small forward of any huge concern. Letting Owies go seems ludicrous at this point.

I remember seeing lobby put a big knee into docs back at the last training before rnd 1. I wonder if docs is carrying a niggle hence the spell.

Hope that Carlton continue like last week and just bomb it into the f50. We should be set up for lost of intercepts. Do they have a tagger? If so they should sit on sale.
