My first ask is that Libba - who's no.1 strength is clearance - is not playing half back. Playing ANY other midfield at half back if you like as long as its not Libba. I'd have thought this was simple.

Dolan is better than McFumble. Lets put that to bed. I know our coach is obsessed by the 'athletic profile' of the team - but we can't have all of VDM, McNeil & Davidson out there on the back of being able to run.

Every single supporter raised eyebrows at Gardy's selection (off the back of nothing) and we got what we deserved.

The coach usually starts the season with this sort of gear. Very sneaky working it in after the bye round - we didn't see it coming.

Out: Gardy, McNeil, Cleary, Bramble to sub.
In: Darcy, JJ, Dolan (main team), Busslinger

You could drop 15 players from last week and none would be unlucky to miss.

I like these changes better than the ones I actually suggested. I don’t think that save for one horrible bit of play Bramble was that bad, but I also can admit he’s not a walk up start and nor should he be.

I think we’ll stick with Dolan as the sub so that Bramble is an option for Higgins should he be required, but it’s not a must.

JJ out for at least another week too due to an illness suffered during the bye week.

Harmes is a big out with how solid he has been this year for us, hopefully just the one week...

So no Harmes and JJ isn't ready, I wonder if this limits how many other changes we might make?
In Darcy Out Harmes, and N/A JJ are all confirmed. I'm not sure Hynes is ready either.

To me it limits how many other changes can be made.

Have to reward players in form and Hynes has had back to back good games for Footscray. Even if it's just as a sub I think he deserves a call up

I mentioned on the training report that he didn't train on Monday when the VFL boys came out. We will know early tomorrow if he's copped a slight injury or not.
I'd be happy to play him on form.

Still trying to make up my mind. The AFL reserve on level two is $62, level 1 $27. I just hate Thursday footy

Feel like Freijah moves back in a permanent role and Coffield comes in. Williams and Davidson wingers not sure who is the third one.

Yes, but define form? 1 good game, I would love for the younger plays, put back2back games together in the VFL, for their own development, and avoid going up and down, sub, change in roles ect.

I'm leaning more and more to the side of feeling that Bevo won't drop Gardner.

Dropping him now after one match kinda says you're done mate and I dont think Bevo would do a 180 on a player like that so quickly.

If Gardner goes now it's a long way back for him. How long does he have on his contract? I wish there was a designated page for this information.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

                                Don't disagree, not great.
More and more, I am looking at the sub as a negative, and want to avoid developing players being used there completely.
Only subbing, borderline AFL level of players who, are what they are, or someone like Trelor in his current circumstances.
Poulter, Baker, Scott, Khamis, Trelor, McNeil, Duyrea, Coffield
