Dew would be a great acquisition and I hope it can get done.

What role is left for Dew now?

Goal Kicking Coach was the only spot I thought was yet to be filled.

Having said that, they guy could be mentioned in the same breath as Gilbee, given his field kicking back in the day!

Not sure a part time skills coach is the salary expectation he’s after.

I'm guessing that's the Adelaide news (hence why they're talking about who the frowards coach at Adelaide will be) and they're just saying Dew is linked to the Dogs because that was the rumor before.

Maybe he's seen the market doesn't have the kind of job he wants and reconsiders the Dogs offer but I'd lean towards the answer being they just don't really care about the non-SA teams and are filling time because it's a bit of a nothing story.

              Re: Assistant Coaches

The article said he didn't want to go to Adelaide unless it was for the senior assistants role and we have that position already filled.
It would need to be for a different role so I guess it's unlikely.

Lazy reporting with no actual research. It’s common nowadays.

I know what you mean but if goal-kicking is a part-time role, then he has time to do other roles elsewhere?

Just letting woofers know on BF a supporter said on news that Caleb on yesterday’s news (presumably Poulter, as I think seniors not back in training yet) said they are “doing heaps more running under new fitness regime”. Appears coaches already having an impact.

Can't be Poulter, as he has yet to do a full-preseason at the club on the AFL List.

A bloke I work with is an assistant coach at the Melbourne Storm under 21s . Got chatting to him about Selwood ( who he says is magnificent guy and motivator) he isn’t there this year, does anyone know what he is doing? , would be great for us.

I'm curious about who among the coaches (or elsewhere in the club) is taking the role of mentor for our indigenous players now Varcoe has moved on. It was quite an issue a couple of years ago.

Perhaps the club feel the presence of Liam Jones is sufficient guidance for the likes of Jamarra and Arty?

I happened to be driving around Caulfield North during the week and Caleb seemed to be either moving into a house or helping someone fill a house with young persons furniture near the corner of Orrong Road and Princess Hwy. The other fella looked similar to Buss from behind, but can't be sure it was him. Lucky they weren't removing stuff from the house because the way they looked they may have garnered some attention from Hatzolah!
