    Re: Assistant Coaches

Looks like some further astute appointments.

The Club's AFL Football Department has been further bolstered through the recruitment of two roles.

Daniel Duvnjak-Zaknich coming from the Giants certainly appears a great get. They were a bloody fit team in 2023

Was about to say. They certainly were able to run out games (while we arguably were not)

I like the idea of having a doctor who has experience in other sports injuries and might look at or have different ways to recover from them .

Ironically Daniel Duvnjak-Zaknich did some work with Matt Innes who was at the WACA at the time and regarded him as a bit of a mentor.

Bevo mentioned their fitness numerous times across the year.

                Re: Assistant Coaches

I don't know a lot about the two new appointments but if we can lift out fitness performances next year across the list, which I don't think was a strong point for us this year, then that will be a huge advantage for us.

I wonder if we are just waiting for a goal kicking coach or if there will be another coaching appointment as well.
With the increased funds being available I hope we can lift the overall numbers for our coaching team.

Which player will be the first, and on which date, to say "This is by far the hardest pre-season we've had in a long time"

                  I'm going Naughton. 1st Feb.

Marra. What's day 1 of pre season? It'll be that day.

I think Dew is heading back to the Swans. Not sure he would have been the right man for us anyway

I'm going MJP...... when it's Late Feb and media reports of Jordon Sweet 'borderline flying at Port in early pre-season hit outs' stimulate a a sustained barrage of gas-filled, shit-post shells, lobbed by members of the WJSA - The WOOF Jordon Sweet Alliance.

I reckon Mike's for sure calling for any Sweet-related posts to be censured, very early on in pre-season, if that shit gets out of hand.

Oh you said players.. I thought you said 'posters'...

                                Right.

Ok, yeah I'm hoping its Bailey Smith....I want to hear he's 100% in the game and really feeling the burn this pre-season.

I gotta feeling a big driver of our overall chances next year (and hopefully beyond) come out of whether or not Smith can go to another level.
Profound insights huh?.... Yep, you're all very welcome...
                                As you were.
