Another update regarding the slower system response.
The issue Axe Man raised regarding the number of AI Bots who appear on here as 'guests' does appear to have been the first step in the slower response.
We did some tweaks yesterday and it's reduced the number of guests on the site from lets say around 7K to less than 2K now and as a result the systems does appears to be running quicker today.
There area few more things we can do as well. If we can drop the numbers of guests down to less than 1K and even lower it will be interesting to see if the response time keeps improving.
There are a few other options to consider as well. One of the VBulletin programmers has listed a number of other tweaks to consider.
Years back it was a great help to have these bots on the site as it helped with search engines for future members to find the site. Now it's just a huge issue to overcome.

Please keep listing you challenges here and we will see what can be done to overcome them. I

The changes that went in yesterday and a few more are being worked on today have significantly reduced the CPU issue where we were constantly to 90 to 100% capacity so they have seemed to have worked really well

Today it's dropped right down to closer to a 20% average.

There are a few more things I can contact the hosting company about that should help fix the issue with the AI Bots and Spiders.
I've noticed things are a lot quicker today, hopefully all other members are experiencing the same.

There is still plenty to do but we will chip away at it.

Because of all the work you do with the match day threads etc during the season you are in a smaller user group to most others on here, it's probably most likely I've missed ticking one of the settings.
I'm confident I can resolve this for you Easty so stay tuned.

It looks like it was due to a number of false starts, I'll do some more investigation
