We can re-rookie him, but we need to re-draft him, where as 1st & 2nd year rookies are automatically kept on - no other club can draft them.

From what I've read, he was a better than 50/50 shot of being upgraded if Brendan was still coach.

I guess it's to ensure that clubs just don't park players on their list indefinitely. At least this way other clubs can jump in and draft or select players once they come off the rookie list. For example if we had the first pick in the rookie draft we might have taken Hamling as a rookie rather than grabbing him as a DFA.
My understanding with Greenwood is that we would either have to take him in the National Draft or get him via the PSD. Other clubs could jump in beforehand which is probably why the AFL give clubs a maximum 3 year rookie option.

I think he has tweeted that he hopes to be rerookied.

Thanks, maybe that is the process. Would be a great option for us.

Can anyone confirm if Fuller is contracted for next year?

Interstate player so from my understanding a 2 year deal was made.

OK. I am a big believer that clubs too often hold onto a player who they know won't make it. My rule of thumb is if they were just state leaguers, would you draft them with your last pick? Pearce, Prudden and Fuller are all a no for me. If Fuller if contracted for next year, then we must keep him.

You could potentially slide him to the rookie list as he is unlikely to be selected by another side.

Prudden I haven't even seen play at all. I'm wondering if he actually exists.

To be serious though I'm pretty sure we gave Prudden a contract extension and he's with us until 2015 at least. Pearce I remember reading was still in discussions or exploring a move elsewhere.

Gee bit tough on Prudden .
Been smashed by injury, and I'd like to see a bit more of him before we make a call.

Saw him play against the pies in 2013 ( for willy) absolutely killed it.
Then under that god awful arrangement got dropped to the development league, then got hurt.

He was going to medical advice to see what he could do better to manage his injuries. If it's going to take a while for him to get on top of the injuries then sliding him over to the rookie list might not be a bad option.

I've been a fan of Prudden the few times I've seen him but he really needs some continuity to get his fitness up and develop his game.

He could be a surprise packet in 2015, if he stays on the park, given who we've lost.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?
