This decades pick 1 KPFs, Patton (knees), Boyd (back, depression) & McCartin (concussions) have really had a hard run of things.

Not sure if he's nominated or eligible but former Port key forward Mason Shaw seems to be going well in the WAFL. Has kicked 17 goals in his last 4 games & booted 6 in a final last year. Would be an ideal player for us if available.

Without knowing too much about Deluca's WAFL form, going past a legitimate young talent like Dunkley to draft a retread is the most Carlton thing ever.

The only shocking thing is that Deluca was never at GWS. They have O'Rourke in their twos and I was certain they'd find a way to pick him up.

Pretty sure Carlton have recruited over 13 players from GWS over the past few years

Bit if a surprise move but I guess they have enough youngsters

                    Re: 2019 Mid Season Draft

Is another team likely to take Dunkley before our 1st pick in mid-season? In light of what Bevo said that we need to address shortage of KP; if he is still there do we take him or go for a ready made KP? If we use 2 picks do we go for two KP or best available and 1 KP?

Sydney wanted to envoke father/son to secure him. I'd hazard a guess he won't get passed them when the AFEL told them 'no'.

You might think the Saints have finalized things thinks with McCartin in the hopes that Dunkley is available
Realistically a few teams should be interested in him

Do we need another inside mid?

Is Kyle similar to his brother eg average speed and skills?

Swans asked the AFL if they could take Dunkley under the father son rule in the mid season draft. Which the AFL said no.

He's probably more of a mid sized forward who can take a turn in the midfield
He 'might' be seen a replacement down the track for Picken and or Dickson
