"Lively and competitive at stoppages and around the ground, Ewan MacPherson, the son of Stephen and younger brother of Gold Coast's Darcy, was the standout for Northern. The Western Bulldogs father-son prospect collected 25 disposals, 10 contested possessions and nine tackles."

Re: 2021 draft watch
Could be an interesting draft year for us this year. Particularly for us supporters with the number of potential draftees with affiliations to the club having good starts to the year.
This year we have the following draft picks that are worth points.
Picks 18 & 73 (based om ladder position as at round 4)
Potential Father Sons
Ewan McPherson - midfielder/half back
Sam Darcy - key defender/ruck
NGA
Blake Scott - small forward/midfielder
Cody Raak - Tall Defender
Footscray
Corey Preston - small forward
We have a number of 19yo prospects listed at Footscray who missed out last year who could also be a chance.Listening to Brahm's 3rd RacketComment

Re: 2021 draft watch
If it comes to pass we were interested in 3 of those guys, this year would be the year to trade out fringe players and stock up extra points/picks. Will be interesting to watch them this year.Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023Comment

Corey Preston having a great start to the year with Eastern
'Overager Corey Preston starred on debut for Eastern, with the medium marking forward led the way in their win against Calder with 18 disposals, 10 contested possessions, five marks (two contested) and four goals'.

Re: 2021 draft watch
The Chargers are playing tomorrow and the game will be streamed via the Nab League app for anyone wanting to watch him. Nick Daicos will also feature and he’s projecting to be a top 3 pick at this point. Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.Comment

Re: 2021 draft watch
This week, an impressive intercept defender, who resembles a young Nick Haynes, has caught the eye of ESPN's AFL Draft expert, Chris Doerre.
Impressing with his run and intercepting in defence, Western Bulldogs Next-Generation Academy member Cody Raak was Western's standout in their heavy loss to Oakleigh. The tall defender amassed 33 disposals, seven marks and 10 rebound 50s.Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment

Re: 2021 draft watch
First time I'd seen him since local lower level, and he does look pretty good. Used his body well in a couple of contests and kicking was assured.
I'm from the same area and have crossed paths with his old man and he was pretty tall and athletic also.BT COME BACK!

IIRC we had concerns Macrae was too skinny until we interviewed him at home and saw his dad.Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment
