They've been a train wreck for years. No one can keep screwing it up forever. Broken clock right twice a day that type of stuff.

Remember they lost to the Cats by 186 points ! Then the AFL stepped in.

    Edit:

Being shit in 2019 meant they got Jackson and Pickett. So there's the story.

It's very evident that acknowledging them for getting the recent trades and draft selections right wasn't made to the right audience.

You're 100% right GVGjr, I just wish they kept on drafting players like Morton, Tapscott, Toumpas and Gysberts for another couple of years rather than the players that tore us a new one in 40 minutes of utter mayhem.

Thanks for your concern Jee. We all have a hill to die on and this will be mine. I'm sure I will be back on this hobby horse when we start trading picks away to fill holes in our list!

I'm not certain we have a pick inside 50 tonight unless we trade back in?

Unfortunately I agree with you 100%. Since Jason Taylor has been appointed they have hardly missed. Especially with their trade targets.

If selected I'd imagine it will be with our last pick or more likely a rookie spot.

Imagine if any of the many websites dealing with the AFL draft could provide a running, up to date, track of where draft picks sit for the rest of the draft?
                  AFL.com.au is a joke of a website.

It really lagged behind last night. Perhaps the cutbacks right through the AFL have also impacted the content.
The big part of the draft is tonight so it will need to improve.

The overall hubris or providing what they think fans should want versus what fans actually want seems a top to bottom problem in the organisation

I'm not certain we have a pick inside 50 tonight. But like you cannot find anything saying what the indicative draft order for today is.

They've really missed an opportunity to inform the fans.

I'm really disappointed with the player Essendon have picked up, he really looks like he will compliment them will straight away.

Loving what Fremantle did picking two local boys who both are different players and highly skilled in their own right.
Does anyone believe they reached by picking the two WA boys?

Without starting the whole "they haven't played a game yet" argument I thought he was a huge win for Essendon who picked a number of taller players last year. Hobbs should be a great addition for them.

Freo have a strong hand and should be pleased at landing the local boys.
