Am over BAiley Smith. The circus surrounding him is Stringer like. Not quite at the package level, but gee from a potential to delivery perspective the gap is wide. I think that he will leave a big hole, but its a hole that Ed Richards has stated to step into.

Didn't Stringer get pushed out late in the season when Bevo had enough of his antics? I didn't really get a circus vibe leading up to his departure but I might have pushed out those thoughts.
Smith is probably needy and self centered but he is hardly disruptive.
Dunkley gets a heap stacked on him by our supporters but he was at least professional and Smith doesn't appear to be disruptive but he does frustrate me.

I hope he stays but there is a chance that if he signs a two year deal we go through this again so perhaps it's best to part ways now.

I want a pick inside of the top 10 this year and if that can't be organised a pick later in the first round plus a 2nd rounder will suffice so lets put some pressure on the club he eventually chooses.

Smith is a gun , guns leave clubs as they get the big offers, never forget the massive games and goals he did kick with us.
If he leaves it?s sad but it?s a job now not a love of club for most , remember kids don?t get to pick where they want to go.
We all want Butters because he is apparently a mad bulldog supporter, we cheer for that but want to give Bailey a hard time because he is doing the same.
Just remember how the Griffin trade worked out.

I feel very little angst about Smith leaving to be honest. We've got 100 games of pretty good service from him, he's never really felt like a great 'club fit' and our midfield remains stacked.

We're going to get back pretty much what we spent on drafting him, plus five years of decent service and we'll always have the 2021 finals series.

Baz is gone, as supporters we need to start coming to terms with that and put our faith in Power to work out a deal that's best for the club. Numerous posters on another footy forum with credible knowledge around the club have corroborated that he's out the door, and it's just a matter of who. Geelong seem to be the front runner, but the Hawks are still in the hunt with a big dollar offer. For our sake, I hope we nudge Bailey toward the hawks as we'll possibly? get a better pick out of the deal. Although with their current form, maybe the hawks and cats would end up with a similar first rounder. We'd potentially get that pick around 8-10 which is a reasonable outcome, just a shame for the club from a marketing perspective.

I believe that has been reported for some time now and really it's a no brainer, we would hardly be delisting him or pushing him out the door.

If it's an offer from us thats old news, he was given an offer at least 6 weeks back perhaps closer to 8.

I think it is also noticeable when watching training that Buss has great rapport with the coaching staff.
