Great summary, I might have a look at Lindsay over the weekend.

Yeah just to clarify I don’t know anything about this kid in particular, but it’s definitely becoming a pretty hard to ignore trend with juniors and their CP rate in general. It’s tough to judge if that’s their role on the outside but realistically you’d think the junior programs would be putting them in positions to show their ability in the contest throughout the year if they’re capable enough.

This might put the Butters trade in doubt, do we trade up a future pick to get up to Xavier Taylor? Is he ready made enough to make an impact for us next year, something like Sam De Konig was able to impact as a key defender in his first year?
Xavier Taylor looks an A grade defender like a young Cal Wilkie does he not?
I do like our current draft position to find a flank/wing player with some sizzle which would be a nice addition to what we have

Perhaps a better option might be to trade down and position ourselves to draft Blake Thredgold?

Here is an option (without a lot of thought) we might consider

We trade with North offering our pick 14, 33 and a F3 for North's pick 25, 46 and their F1
North get back into the 1st round and pick 46 doesn't mean a lot for them. A F3 might appeal
They go into the draft with picks 14, 26, 33 and 57

North's F1 helps us if there is a chance we can land Butters. Thredgold is a good defender and pick 46 gives some points for Darcy.
I'm sure we could argue of a bit of positioning but essentially there are some other options to consider

The other day I posted a mock draft without the updates so here is the updated version. I have done it that no more draft trades happen. If I'm wrong about how far Carlton slide back let me know.

Sun's lions lose all there first round picks due to matching bids. And as Carlton had two first they matched it with one and the remaining points needed caused there other first round to slide back.

I heard Robey interviewed on the Gettable podcast with Cam Twomey. Super impressive kid, one of the more mature youngsters you'd hear.

Kind of hope he gets to the Bombers because you could tell he absolutely loves the club. Very mixed feelings considering the absolute hatred I have for all things Dons haha.

No real surprises but I'd go with Dovaston O.taylor, NHH, Phillipou (Since you mentioned him the other day I had a look and he would be perfect for us)

As for Dovaston I'm torn between him and Oscar Taylor. It would be a flip of the coin for me happy with either

You have inspired me to have a closer look at those 4. I've looked a lot at Taylor and a bit at Dovaston but nothing much with the other two.

Blake Thedgold is another I'm interested in he is ranked 30 on Twomey rankings. Would jump at him in a heart beat with our second pick.

It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out. Even Dons late 1st could be swallowed up by a Sweid bid.
