MJP is off for a while so does someone want to take a stab for pick Freo's pick 20?

Bulldogs Bite has sent me through his Carltons picks in case he is off.

          pick# 20 - Fremantle - Devon Smith Geelong Falcons

He’s very small, only standing at 175cm tall, but he knows how to find the footy, tackle, and kick goals. In his only final, he racked up 28 diposals, 7 tackles, and 7 marks. With Ballantyne heading for the midfield, he is just what Freo need.

I've read a lot about that we need to find a replacement for Lindsay Gilbee but I actually think we need someone to cover Ryan Hargrave. Markworth was a forward this year who spent time in the midfield but I have him earmarked for that tall rangy defenders role.
Quick off the mark and tailor made for the creative defenders role.

                  190.5 cm tall.
Will be interested to see if he ends up with us. Played against him this year (once) and last year (twice) and he is ridiculously fast. If you dont get him in his first 2 steps he is gone (admittedly I almost run backwards these days). I noticed he was listed as on our radar in one of the papers so this may actually be a chance. He certainly has the raw physical attributes to make it.

I think we would prefer a more genuine midfielder but his pace, height and versatility appeals to me. I'd be a little surprised if he goes as early as I picked him though.

Pick #23- West Coast- Shane Nelson

Speedy ball winner who uses it fairly well by foot. West Coast have a pretty balanced list, but speed and skills are probably an area that could use bolstering. They also love to choose locals.

I suggest we call it a night.

Happy days is up next and if The Bulldogs Bite cant put in his selection. I can do it for him

We can plug away slowly at this during the day,

GVG, is Markworth best available in your eyes or is this a needs pick?

If so, is a rangy half back our most pressing need in the first round?
