At what stage of the season can you trade and when is it not called poaching ?
You can enquire through a player's management at any stage of the ear I think. Ask about what their plans are for the future. But it tends to heat up after the players have finished their playing commitments. Trades can only take place during the trading period though.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
It seems a lot of business being done before this year has even finished, personally if you're not signed up when your seasons finished there is definitely a movement happening.
I'd love us to go hard for Patton, and failing that, I don't mind the look of Ben Brown. Hasn't had a huge impact in this PF, but he looks a likely type and is only 20 y.o

Very raw needs some weight and in his defence Werribee don't really deliver the ball to him very well

Just slotted his third.
I'd be surprised if he isn't on an AFL list next year. Plenty of tools to work with and quite versatile for his size, moves up the ground well and has done some ruck work.

No idea where he could/will be taken though.
Saw him at Club last Tuesday with recruiting staff
Stevo has tweeted that Crameri is heading our way. His source is Andrew Welsh
Surely we need to make an agreement with Essendon before this can happen? Unless we've been dealing with Essendon already, which you would think is unlikely, Crameri deciding to go doesn't make it a done deal.

It's why it's just a rumour. All negotiations with Essendon will go down to the wire but given he is out of contract if they play too hard ball and cannot match our offer is free agency a chance?

I guess he can nominate for the PSD if no trade can be worked. Stevo has said a 2nd round pick seems likely. I dont really want to give our 2nd rounder up.

I'm not Essendon will be doing a lot of tough negotiating over players that want out.
If the AFLPA get their way Essendon will be counting on a lot of goodwill from the playing group.
TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.
For mine: Higgins for Crameri is in our favour just based on injuries. Docherty for Marsh is in our favour just. Scharenberg and Wood for Patton is top dollar, high risk, but could be genius...
