If you'd never seen Deadpool you would have liked it though.

How do you capture the same magic?

For the record I liked Deadpool 2, it just wasn't Deadpool.

Possibly the best season of anything I've ever seen. Almost every character was 10/10 (didn't love Hanks tbh), such a great mix of funny and serious, amazingly shot, soundtrack amazing and Billy Bob Thornton is possibly the best bad guy in anything. Not to talk it up or anything.

Also for those that haven't seen it Fleabag on Amazon Prime is also outrageously good and hits that perfect blend of comedy/drama. Two seasons of very high quality.

Just finished watching all the Black Mirror episodes on Netflix, I tended to watch two in a sitting and usually found I really liked one and the other was decent without being great. Obviously a very disturbing show that I think executes most of it's concepts really well and loves a good twist.

Wasted on Stan is a really good fast paced comedy, I would put it in the same genre of comedy as the likes of Inbetweeners (amazing show on both Netflix and Stan) without hitting the same heights, but it has some very high quality episodes and in true British style is a short season so only a small commitment.

Lovesick on Netflix is a really enjoyable comedy drama style show that has a super likeable and endearing cast and clever concept.

Misfits on Stan is a super fun take on what would happen if a bunch of delinquents in Britain got shitty superpowers. Probably the least consistent of all these shows season to season but overall is very funny and despite a very awkward cast change halfway through the series manages to produce a lot of really likeable characters and some really fun/dumb/clever episodes.

As you can probably tell I tend to go for the British stuff.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Just finished the last few eps of The Boys season 2. Didn't hit the heights of season 1 but I thought the second half of the season was still really strong.

In its defence the last 3 episodes of Season 2 were fantastic.

That press conference speech at the end of the finale, those wild eyes direct into the camera. Awesome.

I really admired the way they've made you feel a bit sorry for an evil maniac.

They were, although I'd still like to know where Maeve suddenly appeared from.

Deadpool 2 syndrome isn't necessarily a criticism - it's more a statement that such lofty heights are difficult to replicate.
