Re: Recommendations of All Things Netflix
I finally got around to watching Manhunt: Unabomber.
It was excellent, some of the best TV I've seen in years. It was much more balanced in it's portrayal than most modern TV. They delved into his back story quite deeply to show how he became the way he was, and you almost felt sorry for him at one point, then they re-emphasized what he did and you remember what an animal he was. It also showed that the people who caught him, while dedicated and incredibly driven, weren't exactly flawless characters either. The situation his family were put in was really tough too.
The way he got screwed by his legal team was eye opening as well. It makes you realize how vulnerable you are to the legal system if you can't afford high quality legal representation.
Sam Worthington was brilliant... Which are words I'd never thought I'd say
