Re: Coronavirus Info & Helpful Direction
The real question is how many of those numbers are needing medical attention / very sick?
The raw numbers tells us that yes, it is contagious, but what's behind that?W00F!Comment

All numbers growing every day. I can’t wait until cases are not the reported metric. But the bad shit is getting worse quickly. Not just overall case numbers. The hospital and ICU system is going to be tested.Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023Comment

Re: Coronavirus Info & Helpful Direction
Roughly 5,000 mystery cases, 500 in hospital, 100 ICU, 29 ventilated, deaths every day about 70 since this outbreak started. Ambulances struggling to get into hospitals etc. etc.

Re: Coronavirus Info & Helpful Direction
Yep, throughout last week frontline hospital workers were saying how grim the situation was becoming. Here's apparently some information from a leaked report presented to National Cabinet.

The idea around vaccinating the most socially active if you could/had that lever makes sense. But supply just doesn't allow it.BT COME BACK!

Yeah it does in retrospect make sense. I'm concerned we're looking to meet a target that is undercooked and this will just keep rolling on and on. The Doherty Institute work is becoming more questionable if that article is accurate.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment

Re: Coronavirus Info & Helpful Direction
Sorry didn't post it on the weekend busy getting my pfizer on and drinking to much gin.
ANZACs.
165g Plain Flour
100g Rolled Oats
60g Desicated Coconut
140g Caster Sugar
75g Pumpkin seeds
75g Sunflower seeds
Mix together in a mixing bowl
1 teaspoon Bicarb Soda
2 Tablespoons cold water
mix together and keep seperate
125g Butter
90g Golden syrup
Bring to a light boil, then add the bicarb mix and stir over a low heat until frothy and rising towards the top of the saucepan.
Pour into the dry ingredient mix and slowly mix until combined. Let the mix rest until it gets back to room temperature.
I do large biscuit and weigh them off at 55g and then use an egg ring to get the shape, I get 16 in this recipe.
They do spread a bit so don't put them too close together.
170c in a fan forced oven. They take about 15 minutes to bake, if you like them chewy pull them out when lightly golden and if you like them crunchy let them get a bit darker.
Enjoy WOOFers.The curse is dead.Comment

Re: Coronavirus Info & Helpful Direction
It’s highly disappointing physically and mentally challenged have been vaccinated at such low rates.
My sister is among them. Thankfully she got vaccinated a week ago and most of my family is in a regional area.
It’s clear that countries with heavy digital security surveillance in their society have a leg up with this virus.
Singapore, China, Israel.
Thanks for the Anzac biscuit recipe Chef. You don't develop courage by being happy in your relationships every day. You develop it by surviving difficult times and challenging adversity. ― EpicurusComment
