Re: Coronavirus Info & Helpful Direction

I'm enjoying a salad at a Turkish restaurant here in Shanghai. Not at all smug about it guys, wishing you the best because China will shortly have the mother of all pandemic complexities to deal with. i just ordered a massive box of masks and bracing for it. Enjoying the freedom while I can.
Feeling for the western suburbs of both Syd and Melb. Many former migrants, sleeping in small rentals with big families. For them it's an especially hard time, for many, English as a second language.
The Western hospital will be doing it tough. Be strong Western suburbs.

Just on this point if possible avoid using the single use masks and go for reusable. I'm sure we are that far into it by now that everyone has made their choice but seriously consider it if you haven't, the surgical style masks won't break down for up to 450 years. Considering they are often only used for a standard supermarket shop, or a quick trip to grab a coffee, it'd be pretty easy to be throwing out multiple masks a day even if you are working from home.

Also if you do choose to use them, if possible cut the straps on either side to help prevent wildlife getting caught in them.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

          Couldn't agree more.

My wife made up a whole lot of reusable. You can also buy them of course. Use it for the day, then wash and reuse.

I had to get a covid test for the first time the other day and I nearly had a heart attack seeing the use of disposable gloves. I get the need for the strictest sanitary protocols and have no idea how to get around it. But for every separate item they touched they had to throw the gloves out. The person who tested me had to recheck some info on the bag of my test for some reason, and just to pickup the bag he had to put on new gloves and throw them out. He must have used 6 - 8 gloves just for my test. Thinking about how much disposable gloves and masks have been thrown away worldwide during this pandemic got me a little depressed.

there is a company near baccus marsh. . I forget the name but they make compostable garbage bags for wholesale. hopefully that space gets busy. it's high time to address plastics. I didn't even think those disposables were made of plastic. thought they were a type of cloth. thanks Soupaman.

Beautifully said GD. All the best hope Shanghai avoids anything major.

90% of what I do is GF, it makes my product more accessible so it is a focus. I have 3 stockists in Bendigo and the bonus is they all do great coffee.

Oh great, checked the news just now and all/regional NSW in a lockdown come the end of the game. This is all somehow Bailey Smith’s game today’s fault. I don’t know how exactly, but it is.

So can I join the lockdown party here?
