Was reading that those involved are shattered. What are they shattered over, the possible spreading of the virus and endangerment of the community, or the fact they've been caught? They clearly knew what they were doing was wrong and were smug enough to laugh about it on camera, so I'm going with the latter.

It's not a good look, now we seem to be heading for a curfew! Thanks party goers. FWIW i dont like that their images are splashed everywhere.
I reckon whoever leaked it isn't getting a wedding invite. We'd be naive to think these things don't go on more frequently.

I don't think we will see any finals here? Probably be a hub. Can we really have the Power/Lions getting that much of a leg up (home finals with crowds again!)? It's going to be an open finals series. GWS could even do some damage.

It's pretty draconian curfews; I despair.

But NSW nearly 500 cases 7 deaths, ACT 19 cases, lockdown in NT I guess we have to try that lever.

Went on a Sunday walk yesterday (I walk every day, but weekend usually full 2 hours ), headed towards Carlton gardens. Full of people lying on the grass, no masks, drinking, eating having a great time in the sunshine.

Surely there 70 penalty notices. At a minimum.

Chief Commissioner had tasked detectives. He said allowing for children, we wants everyone there to be booked. Which is $350,000 in fines from the engagement party.

Expensive engagement party.

The more exposure sites, the greater the risk of players being forced into isolation. It is also going to get harder to have interstate sides come in. If the situation gets any worse, we won't see any games in Melbourne. Perhaps one in Geelong if both sides are Victorian. Would not be surprised to see this weekends Vic vs interstate games all moved out of Vic.

Agree it's really pushing what they're employed to do. I guess the fear factor is at play at bit, rather than the actual ability to enforce.

Probably make a few examples and hope it's enough to control the many.
