Back when they first opened they did only burgers. A couple of years later they lent real hard into traditional fillo food.

I haven’t been for a couple of years.

It's hedonism more so than eating. I haven't been to one in about ten years, since I was working at Webb Dock and visited the Port Melbourne original cafe.

Noting that BBQ is a bit pretentious sometimes it's nice to know there's still a safe space for people who want to disgrace themselves.

She was disappointed with the fried chicken and spaghetti, a combination popular over there.

100%. Also banana ketchup as part of it. Very sweet. A lot of Aussies wouldn't like it tbh but I don't mind it

Tried "Hello Harry The Burger Joint" up here in Toowoomba because the mother in law was raving about them and she was spot on, a really damn good burger! I believe there are two of them in Vic, St Kilda and Lilydale.

If you are ever up Bendigo way, "Madam Jude" in Golden Square, opposite the "Golden Square Hotel" has quality burgers, cakes and tarts.

When I was up in Bendigo the 'Dunny Diner' had great hamburgers and steak sandwiches. Were you living in Bendigo in the mid and late 80's Merantau?

Burgernomics in Braybrook has a Bulldog Burger in honour of the flag that wagged.

The lot, meat patty, fried chicken and a crumbed mushroom .
Haven't been in awhile but I loved their burgers and loaded fries.

For those who like to travel to Ballarat to watch our games they have the best burger joint I can reel off the top of my head. Griffin Burger. Nothing healthy about them, a bit on the expensive side but very indulgent. The Boss burger chain that's around does decent ones as well.

I arrived there in '87. The "Dunny Diner" was operating then but I never sampled its wares. I'm not sure when it ceased to trade but I'm sure it was many years ag0.

The couple that were running it were retired so I would imagine it was probably gone by the early 90's.
They used to get a run on occasions at markets and other local events but Friday and Saturday nights was the main focus.

                              Good times and memories.

The dunny diner seems to be my sort of place I think I know where this might have been located.
