Not for everyone, but the first half of this is world class break beat, the second half is world class 4-4.

I think it's the lyrics, it's sort of the notion of the belief many have in the "cosmic scales" or karma.
They don't exist you have to find a way through the tough times, keep on keeping on.
Think that speaks to me.

Big couple of weeks for bands I love.

Fontaines DC has just released their fourth long player today - Romance. Each of their previous albums has explored a new direction, distinct from the one before it. Usually, it takes me a week or two of continuous listening for the music to seep into my subconscious, and then, all of a sudden, I'm hooked.

Then next Friday Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds!!!!!! and the cracking new album WILD GOD

I cannot wait for this album to drop. He never disappoints with anything he does. For the first time I can recall, he has fully embraced the media, giving a wide variety of interviews. Every time I hear him speak, I can't help but laugh, and I love that he still has his Australian accent despite living abroad for so long.

I watched Mulholland Drive on the weekend, and no, I still don't really get it. But the theatre scene remains an absolute favourite, the version of Llorando/ Crying by Rebecca Del Rio gives me shivers. I have always loved the Roy Orbison version as well, here they are back to back:
