Massive Game of Thrones fans. Read the books prior the the TV series. I can't wait. Looking forward to it. The trailers look good.

If everyone decides not to think they're engineers and physicists, or that they know what a ballista or bolt is without looking it up then it should be OK. But, what I just said probably doesn't apply to anyone around here, even if it wouldn't take a narc to figure out if it did.
      TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

I'd agree with you if that were the issue. Those are complex issues.

But seriously, 200 feet long massive link chains in the middle of Antarctica? (Ok I'm moving on to the next point).

GOT turned shit because of simple issues. Seriously, it was "black guy with three white guys at the start of a horror movie" simple.

Anyway, that's been done to death anyway, so let's not crack that tin again (unless you really want to because I don't think I've fully processed my PTSD yet) but Benioff and Weiss aren't anywhere near this one so there's hope.

Well my personal view was GoT went to shit well and truly before all of that muck and was just decent fodder to begin with, nothing more, nothing less. But, that's possibly because I binged it and didn't have to think about whatever it was I was supposed to be thinking about.

If the production quality on the prequel is rock solid, and they save some budget for script and character development (which is a massive issue in the sci-fi genre more so than fantasy) then I'll be happy enough to watch it without waving my ballista and bolt about the place.

Yeah looking forward to House of the Dragon, should be cool.

Sad that theres only one ep of BCS left, double length too which is sweet. Has been as good as BB for mine.

                      I feel bcs is deeper.

The beauty of knowing you've got the green light for an entire series so you can write accordingly.

                        Just finished BCS.

Pretty flat to be honest. Don't know whether I was expecting more or whether I am just flat that the cleverness is over and done with.

Re: What are you watching at the moment

I'll catch up to BCS now that the season is over but in the meantime I've been watching Mythic Quest.

Created by some of the people who make It's Always Sunny (Rob, Charlie and a writer named Megan Day who got her start on Community) you should enjoy it if you like Sunny as there's clear similarities in the humour but with more of an ongoing plot and less of a sitcom status quo to return to each week.

Oh and it's about a game development studio but that's less important than the fact it's an office comedy and it's funny.

Mythic Quest was a hidden gem for us. We stumbled across it one weekend last year during winter.

Speaking of sitcoms and status quo we have been watching Superstore. Some of the characters are absolute classics. Basically it is set in an American superstore such as Wallmart or Target. I actually think it is a Canadian production.

We finished Black Bird last night. Wow. So good. The dialogue, acting and writing was first class. Based on a true story about a convicted drug and guns possession who is doing a ten year stint in jail.
He is approached by the FBI to try and get a serial killers confession about women he had killed and where they were buried in exchange for early release.

Sounds unbelievable or far fetched but it isn't...

I haven't seen the last season yet, but I honestly struggle with how Mike is meant to be younger but looks like a 100 year old bloke.

Black Bird was excellent. Even the sound track stood out as really influential in how the overall package came across.
