Wait until you meet Wynn Duffy.

Funniest one liners in the whole stupid yet somehow engrossing show.

I am late to the party, but just started watching Gomorrah from season one. So far loving it after 6 episodes.

Re: What are you watching at the moment

For any travel lovers, motor cycle adventure travel lovers I highly recommend a YouTube channel called "North and Left A Bit." Two blokes, riding Suzuki DR650s from Sydney to London.

They set out in 2019 and spent about a year on the trip. They left Oz via Darwin to Timor Leste then Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, India, Pakistan, China, the Central Asian republics etc

There are about 18 vids up so far. Each is about 20 mins long and they've just reached China via the Karakorum Highway, the highest motorable road in the world.

I kid you not, the mountain scenery in Pakistan is stupendous. These are two very likeable guys, not pretending to be experts, just out there having a crack, seeing what's around the next corner and enjoying themselves. They have a lot of interactions with the locals wherever they go. Well worth a look.

I watched an Aussie movie on YouTube the other day - "The Postcard Bandit", based on the crimes of Brendan Abbott who robbed banks all over Oz in the 80s and 90s. Some good performances and some excellent one liners.

I started the TV adaptation of Catch 22 yesterday. It seems to be hitting the mark actually, I was worried that it would be over the top.
            TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Has anyone actually watched this? It is fantastic and addictive. A cross between the Wire and Sopranos.

If you do watch it (available on SBS catchup), make sure it is in Italian to get the full effect. They actually speak Neapolitan and even in Rome, they watch with sub titles.

5 seasons with 12 in each except the last has 10. I am currently half way through season 2.

I read all but the last twenty pages of the book. I threw it across the room as I was completely sick of the writing style.

Not yet, but it is on my list.

It is amazing how many quality shows are on SBS on Demand.

Yep some good viewing there. Solid acting from the LNP ministers too.

Suburra season 1 is probably the best Netflix show I've watched. Certainly the quality was more hit and miss for the next two seasons however overall it was a good show.

I read the book afterwards and I imagine it is written in a similar style to Gomorrah and honestly it was not great.

On another note, Suburra the movie is excellent, and M83 does the soundtrack. Recommended for both reasons.
