Re: What are you watching at the moment
I thought it was a silly concept but read the book as I generally like Steven King. The book was pretty good, although like many King novels the ending was a bit underwhelming. I'm curious to watch the show but the previews looked terrible and very rarely is a book better in tv/movie form.I should leave it alone but you're not rightComment

Re: What are you watching at the moment
Giving Brooklyn Nine-Nine a go at the moment, downloaded the first series the other day and have watched the first few episodes.
Believe it is made by the same team as Parks and Rec but so far is not in the same league.
I know they are taking the piss but I find the main character, Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), quite annoying and hard to like.
Will watch the rest of season one and hopefully the characters will build and grow on me.It's better to die on our feet than live on our knees.Comment

On the lighter side than the Danish death shows, I got sucked in by Suits. Just binge watched the first 3 seasons and loved every minute. Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.Comment

Re: What are you watching at the moment
Just bought Fandemic by Phillip Demetriadis, yet to receive it but it comes highly recommended.
Philosophical wank about Aussie Rules, just the thing!
4/5: For any lover of Australian football (Aussie rules), for anyone curious about this idiosyncratic sport, or for any lover of philosophy, Fandemic has a lot to offer you. I read these essays at my leisure, taking my time with them, because they are insightful, funny, passionate, critical, beautifully written - sometimes all in the one piece. I hope to see more published writing by Phillip, an accomplished and engaging essayist.Last edited by BornInDroopSt'54; 30-12-2014, 12:19 PM.Footscray Football Republic.Comment

Re: What are you watching at the moment
I'm not bad thanks. Long year at work, but finished now which is great. Enjoying not doing much at all. Will be working part time next year. With cricket season in full swing I'm not contributing to WOOF much as I'm not into cricket at all. As for the Dogs, I recently upgraded to a Premiership Gold seat, which will be great. Looking forward to seeing how the team comes together after a tumultuous period!
Isn't discourse a conversation or discussion
The WOOF discourse basically is the sum of everything posted. So my above post about the book I've bought, once someone comments on it, means the book Fandemic has entered the WOOF discourse, as Andrew questions rhetorically.Footscray Football Republic.Comment
