Re: What are you watching at the moment

I binge watched The Thick Of It through the week. Gee its a good satire. Such great characters and dialogue. What appalling people the characters portrayed are. You waste no time with sympathy for them at all.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

In light of there being no FTA game this afternoon I instead watched Rocky II.

I could have been forgiven for thinking it was a film about concussion advocacy.
      TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

We watched episode 5 on Thursday and just had to watch 6 so I took a 7 day free subscription to HBO now and watched it. Fantastic viewing.

Yeah, I really like them and have for years. A Different Class is an end to end album of tracks perfectly in their place and all of amazing quality.

I was disappointed I couldn't see them when they came out a couple of years ago. I saw them at Festival Hall in 99.

Whilst I love the electronic stuff you can't listen to it all the time.

Nick Cave did a version of Disco 2000 that made the protagonist sound like a real psycho. Got into them through that.

Just finished House of Cards S3.
Started S1 of Orange Is The New Black. First Ep was a bit uneven but I'm warming to it.

What happened at the end of series 3? I think I've seen it but there is a lot of confusion about which episode ends it all with talk of a 'secret' episode that continues on from the official ending and now I don't even know WTF is going on any more because I can't remember how many episodes I've actually watched and the ending for me was a bit of a teaser more than anything.

Anyway to save spoilers could you PM what happens please and thank you. If there is another ep I wanna see it.

                      Just finished The Jinx finale.

I've got a funny feeling it's not going to be enough. He did the whacko wandering with a mask and possession of a gun thing. Plus added in marijuana being on him and cash to escape thing, and made his arrest too easy by having him call his own message bank. He's now in a mental facility in a prison and I see his lawyers doing a Houdini again. Although they're investigating 3 new murders/disappearances on Durst. He seems as guilty as hell and as much as I wanted some big ending, the makers edited the series perfectly, especially the finale in never accusing him of anything as to allow his lawyers to suggest jurors would be tainted by untested assertions. Should win awards just for editing alone, masterfully presented information while never tainting the juror pool. Outstanding.

Re: What are you watching at the moment

Loving the ESPN 30 for 30 docos on (US) Netflix.

In the middle of watching Survive and Advance, the story of the 1983 NCAA Basketball championships. Amazing.

The Elway to Marino one was an intriguing insight into the 1983 NFL draft. With the ability to trade picks in real time, it made the draft utterly compelling viewing. Looking forward to when the AFL introduces the same system.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Watched draft day last week . Fascinating look at the chaos which is the NFL draft day.
Gotta soft spot for the Cleveland Browns as a result ( don't follow NFL)
Even if you're not an American football fan it's a good watch

You do know that was taped two years earlier and some one discovered the tape late last year.

What an amazing find that would have been. I'm glad they found it, it was excellent TV. My daughter got right into it. We've been doing Bobby durst impressions all week.
