Of course very important yes that's another thing my instructor told me. They don't really pay as much attention to technique as much.

Technique is everything Eastie, absolutely everything.

From handling situations, to muscle memory and more. A lazy technique of holding the wheel, mirror and head checking causes accidents, and is easily avoidable. If for any reason you want to become a race car driver, or drive an emergency services at high speed, both lots of folks will talk technique or process of changing lanes in particular. I can tell you the faster you go the better the need for the technique, between 60kph or 110kph. I've been allowed to legally drive around the 180++ Km's an hour and you want the technique and muscle memory to be very good. Unfortunately i still remember a horrible fatality over the Westgate, which was in part caused by one car not checking moving lanes at 100 and forced the car next under a truck... I guess my story is this, its a privilege to drive on our roads and we all need to take better care for our neighbouring drivers, don't just want to pass the test, want to be a safe driver, which I'm sure you want to be.

Yep my instructor has been very happy with me BT about the technique as well. You don't want to be complacent. I'm cautious when on the roads.

Speed limits are a big one. I failed my first test going 45kmph in a 40kmph school zone. The speed sign was right on the corner of the entry to the road as I was turning right into it, and I was more preoccupied with making sure I had enough room to turn in between oncoming traffic.

They choose routes like these just to trick you, so look out for it.

There's more money in making a biological weapon, hiding in an island that looks like you and holding the world ransom whilst stroking a cat. But, teaching is good too.

Science teachers in particular are in demand today. The hours and the pay is decent as well. Research I don't want to do as it requires government grants that aren't always guaranteed.
