Yeah that Austealian ironic nickname thing. Like Tiny for a big bloke or Bluey for a redhead or curly for a bald bloke.

I couldn't remember his name is the reason I used Slasher, it was Ken wasn't it? I wasn't going to Google it because before it became possible to Google everything I could remember every Australian test cricketer's middle name and now I'm googling their first name?

It's Ken Mackay. K. D. Mackay in the scorebook in my head. Douglas?
Yes it was Ken. Died in his late 50's. Non drinker non smoker.

He probably felt a lot older.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Nice catch by Wade. He's been fairly serviceable keeping this test.

His decision yesterday to leave it for the first slip was a shocker.

True, it was a poor decision but you can write that off as a new keeper/first slipper in one is overly generous. Moreso, in terms of cleanliness which has been an issue previously, he has looked better than his last stint. I quite like his banter and chirp too. Hopefully he can make some runs against the Pakistanis and nail down his spot.

I've never been a Matty Wade fan-too shoddy with the gloves-but he has been good this test.

I don't think he's been much behind the stumps at all. That catch Renshaw dropped in my opinion should have been his.

He's a test by test player for me. I could easily go back to Neville.

I hope the fact that we went into this test with 4 fit bowlers and no all-rounder sends a message to the selectors that while a recognised 5th bowling option would be nice, to really do it justice that player must be scoring runs not just have a lot of potential.

                    We will find one eventually.

Interesting he batted at 5. He might just not have the strokes to bat 7 and make runs batting with the tail

Great point, NSW tend to go in batsman short for some reason. Moving Neville up the order might just be the tonic for him

On a side note, whats your thoughts on Wildermuth as a prospect down the track?

Are we the worst international team running between the wickets? FFS! There literally wasn't half a run there.

Is there a collapse coming off that garbage?

It's ironic sinseeing as the run out isn't a dismissal option for Australia such is the poor standard of fielding over the past decade.

I know Australian players aren't able to think strategically about the sport anymore but you'd think Renshaw might've sacrificed his own wicket there, given Warner looked like knocking of the target in the next hour and Renshaw can barely lay bat on ball.

I'm not sure they would've crossed.
