They didn't, but they could've easily. Warner had time to stop and turn back.

I really like him, super talent. He's very mature with the ball, bowls tight areas and nibbles it around but I think he's a batting all rounder in the long run. He's alway been able to hit a long ball but he's starting to put it all together and play long innings.

Queensland is a hot bed for talent at the moment. I'm a massive wrap for Renshaw, Heazlett, Wildermuth and Swepson (he'll be a wonderful leg spinner)

Watching Shamsi beat Renshaw's edge, I worry about what Ravi Ashwin will do in India

I like Renshaw's composure. He's been beaten time and again outside off stump but he just turns around and walks toward square leg and gathers himself then turns around and walks back to the crease. He has a few technical flaws but they should be simple to fix. I think he could have a long career as an opener.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Pretty piss weak middle order collapse in the first innings I thought. Only Maddinson and Wade got into the spirit of it and threw their wickets away.

Yeah that Austealian ironic nickname thing. Like Tiny for a big bloke or Bluey for a redhead or curly for a bald bloke.

I couldn't remember his name is the reason I used Slasher, it was Ken wasn't it? I wasn't going to Google it because before it became possible to Google everything I could remember every Australian test cricketer's middle name and now I'm googling their first name?

It's Ken Mackay. K. D. Mackay in the scorebook in my head. Douglas?
Not sure. I know Alec Stewarts old man made well over 20,O00 first class runs himself. Not sure about Alec but my bets on them.

Oh yeah I'd forgotten about him. With cricketer being a full time job over there for so long there are probably quite a few F/S combinations in County Cricket.

                    Alec made 26,000.

Jack Hobbs and his Dad made 60,000 between them

Being a bit mischievous there. John Hobbs didn't play county cricket, he was a groundsman, and eventually an umpire. He tried but didn't make the grade. Jack Hobbs made 60,000 on his own (inc 199 centuries)

I like your thinking stache. Bit like saying Johnno and myself played over 360 games between us at the doggies.

Moving on to Pakistan, do we change the team or back this 11 in for the first test? S.Marsh has claims in my opinion and i wouldn't mind him in the side for Maddison. Guess that would mean a shuffle of the batting order, with possibly Marsh at 3 and everyone moving down the order one.

I once read that Jack's wife Ada was a nervous wreck toward the end of her life due to worries regarding a sports store they owned and concerns with one of their kids but I cant find anymore information about it. Do you know what the problem was? It didn't say if the kid was sick or it was a behavior of concern or what.

Jack used to make such a fuss about being separated from Ada when England toured overseas that after a couple of tours listening to him complain about it the cricket authorities decided that it was easier to bring her.
