Re: 2018 Tour of South Africa
You can't but laugh at the fact that the captain of the team we're playing has been done for ball tampering twice and is still captain. I guess there's different standards for some.Western Bulldogs: We exist to win premiershipsComment

We kicked out Gayle for acomment to a reporter. You think 20/20 cricket comps want to offer cheats contracts ? Not good for the brand of the league or sponsors.Bring back the biffComment

That point is not lost on me (Plus didn't AB DeV have something in his gloves when he was a wicket keeper?) but it appears Smith has orchestrated this with other players and that must account for something a bit more. Re: 2018 Tour of South Africa
Neither was Du Plesis' when he scratched the ball up on a zip on his pants. They must have been custom mades to have a zipper because I've never seen a pair of cricket pants with a zipper before. Again they denied it was deliberate and he was penalised and everyone was happy to forget it. Similar when he used a mint on the ball here last tour, they denied it, he was penalised and everyone moved on. We missed a clear trick by owning up it seems. Not that the Australian media wouldn't have hung our team anyway.Western Bulldogs: We exist to win premiershipsComment

Re: 2018 Tour of South Africa
Ball tampering has been going on since the pre-war era with Brylcreem and mints. Likewise picking at the quarter seam. But when it starts involving anything with foreign objects (bottle tops, sandpaper, etc..) being brought onto the field to scuff up the ball that has never been acceptable. And doubly so when it has been systematically orchestrated from the captain/coach down.
No sympathy whatsoever for Smith or anyone else involved."Look at me mate. Look at me. I'm flyin'"Comment

Re: 2018 Tour of South Africa
AB was captain in 2013 when his team were accused again in a ODI but he denied they did it and apparently that was enough for everyone to move on.

Nobody is asking for Smith to be let off but we might want to start punishing other teams for their transgressions too. They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment
