Re: 2018 Tour of South Africa
Well it was petulant because you reverted to a scenario that is completely unrealistic for effect, unnecessarily.
My point is it doesn't really matter whether other countries catch up to our level completely, if they get some of the way then that's great. All I care about is my team not cheating and not being dickheads. It's a bit like being a member at a golf club, if you spent your time worrying about how each and every member conducted themselves versus how you are, you'd go insane, and you'd lose the bigger picture view of the game being more important than what you want to get out of it in the short term - at the time. The beautiful thing about games like golf and cricket is that no matter the result, over time cheating pricks are remembered for who and what they are, irrespective of the boorish cheering from media acolytes and within the galleries over the short to medium term. It's history that is important.
We didn't suspend the best player in the world for not wanting to get involved in ball tampering. We suspended the best player in the world because he blatantly let it happen to get the team out of a really sour pickle, ergo, he cheated and we didn't like it.
