What are everyone's thoughts on AB telling Cricket South Africa that he'd come out of retirement for the World Cup and CSA knocking him back?
They're in trouble now and he's still their best batsman, but I think it's 100% the right call in terms of selection integrity. You can't pick and choose when you're in and when you're out.

I understand both sides of the argument. I suspect SA Cricket have taken the bigger picture into their selection process

India are exploiting our lack of bowling depth here. They've sat on Starc and Cummins and are sending everyone else the distance.
Zampa and Coulter-Nile might be bowling themselves out of the tournament. Zampa has been all over tha place and needs to pull it back or he may find himself out for Lyon.
Carey showing his fighting abilities with the bat but we needed someone in the top order to make a 100 and more fight from the middle order. Stoinis hasn't quite clicked as the number 6

While it was important to get off to a safe start I just wonder if we really ever put ourselves into a position to pinch an unlikely win?
Warner was way too conservative and while others scored at close to a run a ball we needed more
It was a shame that Maxwell couldn't stick around a bit longer
Should Carey move up the order?

Warner's lack of game sense gave us no chance. He has to know that with Smith and Khawaja in the lineup (who will both anchor the innings and hit at about a 100 strike rate) there was a responsibility on him to be the aggressor - particularly when he ran out Finch who had been doing that.
I actually felt it was a really selfish innings from Warner - Sangakarra made a good point on commentary that he looked scared to get out.
One day cricket is largely about resource management and 'roles'. Smith and Khawaja are not boundary hitters - they are there to anchor and rebuild. It puts a lot of onus on Warner and Finch to do it at the top of the order, and Maxwell and Stoinis to do it in the middle.
The form of Stoinis is a huge concern because the reserve batsman is S Marsh - another batsman in the Smith and Khawaja mould. I think if Turner had made the squad, Stoinis might've been dropped by now.
At the end of the day, 350 is always a rough chase but I think England would've managed that chase far better than we did.

I got the idea that Warner wasn't all that keen to go back into the sheds and face up to a furious Finch. The safest place for him was out in the middle. In all seriousness I think that running Finch out like that spooked Warner. I don't know why, technically it was Warner's fault because it was his call but Finch was the one who stuttered and didn't quite commit himself to the second run.
I'm not a huge Dave Warner fan but I would have felt pretty comfortable arguing my case in that situation.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
