There was a lot of turmoil in the off season. We lost a couple of back room people who were critical in the take over, Amanda Stavely and Mehrdad Ghodoussi. They helped broker the deal and were at every game. Something happened (most likely our stuff up of the profitability and sustainability rules and forced sale of players) and they were on the nose and were out and I think that upset the apple cart a bit. Some players were force sold, some had their heads turned eg Gordon to Liverpool and their form suffered as a result, and we couldn't buy any new players so the squad felt a bit stale.

We also brought in a new director of football and I think he and Howe didn't see eye to eye early doors.

As early as a couple of months ago there were big questions around Howe, unfair questions in my opinion (we are fifth in the PL over his time at the helm), but somehow he's recaptured the magic. The players are all singing from the same hymn book and look united again. On field a major change has been the ability to play both Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimarães in the same midfield. The team is looking very settled atm we did try some things earlier (like Gordon on the right wing not the left).

I could talk about Newcastle all day but i'll stop there.

Add Trippier not happy about loosing captaincy and being left behind Livramento, two big hits to his ego. Plus Isak being super rusty early on due to injury. As I've posted before, it wasn't as bad as it looked for a few weeks before it really turned around, and we're humming now.

play offs - Sheffield Utd and Sunderland and two from Bristol City, Coventry, Millwall, Blackburn and Middlesbrough

QPR safe from relegation (good effort given we were stone motherless last in early December).

Relegated - Cardiff and Plymouth with the third team from one of Hull, Luton, Preston, Derby or Stoke.

Exciting last round of football coming up.

Wolves are in 13th place on 41 points after 6 straight wins. Just an absolutely unbelievable turnaround. We were going down 8 weeks ago.
