Argies were very solid today, brilliant on the counter and very efficient in defence and midfield. Croatia had a lot of possession in midfield as usual but their lack of cutting edge up front really came home to roost today.

Gvardiol had a poor game but it's easy to forget the kid is 20yo. He's had a brilliant tournament overall.

If Argentina end up winning it will make it 2/2 for the Socceroos losing to the eventual champs when we make the knockout stage.

If you add the group stages in, we also played West Germany in 1974 and France in 2018

I think the game plan of him trying to play CB and man mark Messi really backfired too, left a heap of space for the other forwards to run into.

France with too much class in the end. Final will be amazing and although I picked France from the start, I think Argentina will take it out.

Nuts to think this France side is missing 5 or 6 guys who would arguably be best 11 players for them.
