Wow. Now England's turn to get out of jail with a wonder bicycle kick in the 95th minute to send it into extra time and then Kane with a fox in the box goal to get the job done in extra time.

Arguably the two best teams thus far. Should be an absolute cracker. Certainly worth getting up for the 2am start. Like you can’t believe they are playing at Qtr Final stage. This one is worthy of a final. Hope they do take it to each other rather than just possession football

So lucky. England used their get out of jail card on this one. They are so conservative. Good luck to them but really can’t see them taking the title the way they are playing. So much quality yet seem stifled by Southgate’s game plan

Lamine Yamal is 16 and better at football than I've ever been at anything. Spain look awesome.

England were incredibly lucky. Could have been 2 or 3 down early and didn't create much at all. Although not sure how Foden let himself get offside for the ruled out goal, that was not smart. Were the better team in extra time but looked like garbage for 94 minutes.

Portugal win penalty shoot out 3-0

Only watched Portugal v Slovenia. Portugal look good on the ball but like a lot of teams lack quality out and out strikers. Surprised they don’t start Jota tbh. Ronaldo starts as their striker but not very effective these days. Reckon he is better as an attacking midfielder. Don’t think they can win the tournament.

How good is the Slovenian keeper - Oblak?

Belgium had a couple of decent chances but France had about 10.

I can't get up for 2am matches but I watched this one one delay at 6am this morning. Will prob sleep in the next few days and get up for Spain v Germany on Saturday (again, at 6ish cause I'm not doing 2am!)

Dominant performance by the Dutch. Wow haven’t seen them dominate a tournament knockout game like this for a while. Only improvement required is efficiency in front of goal. Too much pace, particularly down the right wing. Romania started well but faded badly and had maybe one shot on target.
