The game has changed quite a bit since those days. These days you need to have depth and a healthy squad to compete. If you told me back then 100M players would be sitting on a bench fighting for a place in the team, i would've laughed at you and checked you into a facility.

Villa all over City, great to watch. Two up halfway through the second.

      City hapless, so sad.

City are a shambles at the moment. As a Man Utd fan it’s nice to see. Villa playing very well and have had plenty of chances and deserve to be 2-0 up.

Sycophant commentary lamenting the fortunes of poor Haaland........I mean, if that man baby never gets another goal in the EPL I'll be happy. He's a twat.

A conspiracy theory with City purely speculating they know something more about the charges which must bad.

Would explain the flatness of the players, but hard to keep a lid on it if it was actually a thing......

NUFC up by three at the half at Ipswitch, after a 26 second goal from Isak with a blinding finish, followed by another blinder from Murphy. Ipswitch in first half stoppage time then gives up a gift to Isak through a clearing error at the back.

EPL is fantastic to watch when things are going your way. Nothing like it.

Are you not entertained? (ask at 1-5 at home).

It will certainly be tough for him to retain his spot after that I think. Some of those LiVARpool goals they walked through the defense like they were 2 men down.

Great to see clubs like Bournemouth and Nottingham Forrest doing well. Is there any reason for their success so far?
Both Manchester clubs are a way off the mark at moment.

it is great - Chris Wood is doing so well the big Kiwi. Great to see. Elliot Anderson too another Newcastle player, a young midfielder that we had to sell due to PSR is doing really well.

I think they've got really good forwards, and solid players across the other lines backed by a good system. So they are able to score and defend well in a no frills way.

Brentford are similar really. They have almost a championship defence.

Both having really good seasons so far and they both beat us. Lots of work for Amorim. A positive for us that he is learning a lot about the squad but still not good enough with the quality we have.

United xG close to 3 vs Bournemouth close to 0.5.

It's a common theme with United. Cannot finish and cannot defend set plays.

Amorim will surely clear the decks as much as he can. Rashford transfer probably the key to doing it.

They're filling the breach left by inconsistency from the likes of Man United, Tottenham and Newcastle who are all on paper a little bit better. City having a bad run has helped as well.

But looking at how tight the table is, I could see only one of Villa, Bournemouth and Forest hanging on to top six or so if those abovementioned hit their straps in the second half of the season. Kudos to their performances to date though.

Good to see Wolves win first up with Pereira in charge. Maybe the change they needed. The O‘Neill era was good in the first season but fell flat this year. Looking forward to a good run.
