Spurs much better in the second half, unlucky not to equalise as we were pretty ordinary. Ange really sooked it up after the game, reckons if all thins were equal they'd have won implying they were screwed by the refereeing......which they weren't.

Still, six in a row and equal on points with Chelsea albeit one game ahead. Hopefully what's supposed to be a favourable draw sets us up over the coming month.

      Ange is a twat.

Maybe learn the rules. It's "deliberate" handball.
Two things I always run through :
1.) Were arms in natural positions
      2.)Was it deliberate

      No to both.

Otherwise you can just fire the ball into someone's arms for a foul.

Btw every team gets sucked into what we do.

Camp in after leading. Unlike Ange, Howe has tactics.

Ange will be lucky to survive much longer.

Toon on fire. What a turnaround.

Another draw (7th) does not help to chase down Pool.

Love hearts for the Toon being on fire bit. Honestly I couldn't care about Ange and the mass followers who don't understand the updated rules about handball whether they be right or wrong. Even if that goal was disallowed we'd have had incentive to get another one quick smart, like we almost did anyway prior to Isak putting in our second. We'd have also come out less protective of our energy levels in the second if the game was on, but didn't have to be which will hopefully put us in good stead for our midweek League Cup semi at Arsenal.

Prior to us going on this run, a couple of months ago I said I was happy with the way we were putting frontal pressure on the ball with our finishing being a bit haphazard and this was also the case once we got Isak back. What scares me is that Isak is still leaving plenty of opportunities out on the park at the moment.

While there's stern competition in front of us, we've now put ourselves in a solid position to get some silverware and finish in the top four or five in the Premiership. Hats off the the players and coaches for turning it around.

Listened to one of Ange's interviews. Is he talking his way into being sacked? Fiercely loyal with his players but he is taking grumpy and frustrated to another level.

He's hugely embittered to the extent that an ulterior motive might be one of the ways to explain his bahaviour.

Reminds me of Beveridge a bit in that he doesn't suffer the media bullshit, or cope with it very well at times. Except in his game excuses about refereeing and injuries are more acceptable than in ours.

The fact that he and Luke and some of coaches/managers catch-up on a regular basis is an interesting extra with your observation

I think Ange will actually be better suited to a smaller club like Brighton or Brentford where he could really whip up an us against them mentality.

I'm full of observations Gary, all of them deeply rich with insight.*

*I'd completely forgotten they are a bit chummy.

Why anyone (outside of money) would put themselves through coaching Tottenham is beyond me. Highly entitled, extremely average and bland........and just not good enough to be top two or three, as shown by their entire modern history vs. their rise between 2015 and 2018.

I can see how Ange is trying to bring some realism and humility to the club, but I don't think they have the stomach for it.

Interesting to reflect on the wages bills of the epl teams coming into the season.

Forest, Brentford and Bournemouth supporters getting real bang for buck.

Was just about to type the same thing. I think Goorjian is on there too. "Next topic boys: dealing with the media". Oh to be a fly on the wall...

                            Forest is a great story.

Massive drop off after NUFC (richest club in the league but not allowed to spend - boo hoo - like what's the point in compromising your values to support a club).

It's a brilliant effort by Nottingham Forest and Brighton in particular. They've obviously found ways of identifying value for money players and getting the most out of them.
