If New England stick with these short passes into the 'busy' part of the field there might be more Brady interceptions...he has to be basically perfect for them to move the ball this way...early he was but has been hit a few times now.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

So can they get the Superbowl taken away from them if found guilty?

I'm disappointed in the result. I was behind Seattle because I'm friends with a few from that way due to being a lost Sonics fan from the NBA. The fans there deserve 10 in a row for what they've gone through. Then I found out about the cheating and thought F the Patriots altogether.

The Patriots, between their constant cheating and "patriot way", are just as insufferable as the Swans are with their COLA, academies, and "bloods culture" crap. Plus their players kill people for spilling drinks on them at nightclubs, so there's that.

                  Re: NFL Discussion

Deflategate may well hand the trophy back to Seattle, but I don't know whether the NFL would want such a blight on the game. Cannot believe there were not better checks and balances from the NFL on the equipment in play.

Regardless Seattle completely blew it by attempting to pass from New England's 1 yard line, best running back in the league Lynch pondering what he did wrong. Pete Carroll's call will be spoken about for decades. Looked like a hero going for the TD with 6 seconds left in the second, how quickly things can change.

I doubt they'd put it on Seattle I think they'd just void 2015.

I'm not the biggest NFL fan, used to follow it but just don't have enough time nowdays. Even as a guy who just watches it rarely I couldn't believe they'd pass in a situation like that. Sadly it will be talked about until some other team does something incredibly stupid and that won't happen for a long time.

                      So why perennial cheaters?

I assume you are talking about the deflated balls ... of which every team has admitted to doing since this went public; whether they inflated or deflated the balls, every team had done it. The balls can be prepared by the home team however they deem fit as long as they meet NFL guidelines. The balls are then handed to the officials and kept by the officials. If the officials have a problem with the balls, they are dealt with there and then ... The officials had no problems with the 'deflated' balls. Only the Indiana Colts did ... after being flogged !!

What other cheating are you referring too?

you're right every team does it but within the guidelines. NE balls were 20% out. In saying that Seattle has been seen deflating balloons ever since the match!

2006/7 if I recall. The Pats were charged with video recording another team's signals for plays (Rams or Jets I think ... just before the Superbowl). That same year NY Jets and Dolphins fired their lip readers that were 'hired' by the club as they were no longer required and the New Orleans Saints were fined for having scanners on the sidelines to pick up oppositional headphones messages.

The NFL commissioner at the time said its okay to copy signals and decode them any way you want (including lip readers) but videoing is stretching the friendship. Again, every club admitted they copied/decoded the oppositions signals at the time. The Patriots were the only ones who videoed.

                            Every club 'stretches the friendship'.

The Seahawks coach's explanation seemed to be that the Patriots were set up for the run and had all the big guys out on the field. They threw the ball to essentially waste the down and were planning on running it in on the 3rd and 4th

I get his logic but when you have the best running back in the league and you're a yard out, you run the ball every time. Just staggering that they lost it that way.
