    Re: ICC World Cup

Sri Lanka made 4 changes leading into the final - Are they on ****ing drugs??

Jayawadene holds the key over the final few overs - batting beautifully.

Sri Lanka will rue the decision to not play Mendis.

Could it be because Mendis is soon to marry an Aussie girl and will settle in and possibly play his cricket for Victoria/ Australia?

Either way he should have played.

I, too was surprised with those selctions Mantis. Matthews had done nothing wrong during the whole tournament and was really unlucky to lose his place to Perera.

India also played Sreesanth for the 1st time as well which seemed a strange move. When i saw Sril lanka had made 274 i thought they were a real chance, and getting Sehwag and Tendulkar early, they mustve thought the same. Gambhir played his best innings of the World Cup.

Although i wanted Sri Lanka to win the final, in the end i was please for Tendulkar.
I will never see #16 the same!!

              Matthews was injured.

Nehra was injured as well so Sreesanth came in... Wrong move as he hadn't played for over 40 days.... and it showed.

SEN were discussing this story on Friday morning. They spoke to Shaun Graf who confirmed the story, but seeing as though it was April Fools Day they may have been just pulling our leg.

I was listening to it as well. Didn't for one second think that it was serious.
