    Re: 2011-12 EPL Thread

Just digressing a little from the EPL, but the FA Cup semi finals have now been decided.

Dunno why they now play the Semi Finals at Wembley, would have thought the aim was to get there for the final, but nevertheless that's where we'll see:

    Liverpool v Everton

    Chelsea v Tottenham

(Could easily have played those at Old Trafford/Eastlands & The Emirates).

So, it will be a London v Merseyside Cup Final.

So, with Man City being held 3-3 at home overnight against Sunderland Man Utd have the ability to extend their lead at the top to 5 points when they visit Blackburn on Monday.

Things are looking grim now for Wolves (sorry Underdog) as they lost & fellow struggles Bolton, Wigan & QPR all recorded wins.

A Swansea victory(fingers crossed) over Spurs and Toon win would make things interesting in the race for a top 4 spot.

With Chelsea playing about 20 games in 2 months, hopefully we don't run out of steam.

Liverpool could be ninth by the end of the round

So dissapointed ... The Mackems played 85 minutes of brilliant football; would have loved to have denied Man City ... Oh well, have to content with a draw.

Wigan have an incredibly hard finish so they really needed Bolton and QPR to lose on the weekend. Despite the win against Stoke they are very unlikely to survive.

I've viewed them as gone for a while now. Last night confirmed it. I've not been following that closely this season but it certainly has all gone wrong, even the sacking of McCarthy ended with a much worse situation.

Nice to see(for me anyway) Torres finding some form at the right time.

                  Great result overnight at Blackburn.
If United win it,this would be Fergie's greatest triumph.
They've spent 300 million on their squad, and not to win the league is an epic fail from Manchini.

Just shows it takes more than just money to win the league. Man U have do a fantastic job this year.

Do you think Manchini will get the sack if they don't win it?

United have the easier run home I think, so if City are to seriously challenge, they MUST win the derby.

Yes. Loved the chant at the end "City's cracking up, They're cracking up, they're cracking up, City's cracking up".

Mancini. Definitely. As it is replacements are already being lined up.

The special one will probably end up there.

Haven't followed the EPL much this season but i definitely keep my eye on whats going on. As a Man United supporter very content being 5 points clear at the top ahead of our rivals Man City. Man U v QPR this weekend at home and I'm predicting another 3 points as QPR are languishing near the drop zone. Us and City are way ahead leaving the rest behind. City is 13 points clear of 3rd placed Arsenal.
