Rogers, preferably. I want him opening, where he has scored multiple international centuries.

Hard to drop Rogers because he just does enough. His 70 in the first innings was pretty good.

Even though we are playing well the batting line-up has some question marks.

Rogers, Watson, Bailey and Smith will no doubt be kept but if we get a loss then they might come under the spotlight.

Rogers has had a good run. Averaging just over 30 at SR of 40 isn't enough IMO to keep out a younger more talented player who has struggled with some aspects of international cricket. Hughes can't do too much more at SS level.

He's my cricket Jarrad Grant, without my fanaticism, he can do whatever at SS level, he needs a good run like Rogers is getting. I don't really see what we'd be losing by playing him. I'm not anti Rogers, I'm pro Hughes.

His last 3 scores at Test cricket are 0,1,1. IMO he needs to do a lot more at SS level before winning his spot back. He also needs Rogers to do something worth dropping over. Watson has had 20 innings in 2013 and made 1 century and 2 fifties. Now that is worth dropping over.

IMO he's going to fall over at the highest level too often, due to his technique.

It's like a technical flaw in a golf swing. OK when the wind isn't blowing, but once it starts blowing a gale it's likely to come to pieces.

Unfavorable batting conditions coupled with world class bowling will bring him undone more often than not.
                TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Rogers keeps moving his feet long after he has played his shot. It's the strangest habit.

It's when he plays a forward defensive stroke. Most players will get their feet in position and try and be as still as possible when the ball hits the bat but Rogers keeps moving forward.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Of the 30 English wickets this series, Johnson has 16.

Next out would be Smith for me, needs runs here or in Perth. If not its a case of Smith out, Bailey to five, Doolan to three and Watson down to six. Watson keeps his spot purely because we need his bowling and he's still a better batsman that Faulkner, Henriques etc

At an average of 8.5 or something like that.

I haven't seen such fierce domination since the Thommo days. It's fantastic.

Especially when you consider it's in Adelaide.

The selectors won't mess with a winning combo but Shane Watson is a complete crab and needs to go as soon as we lose a Test match.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

he'll get another go in Perth I would think so long as he can bowl.

I've never understood why he has always been played at the top of the order. His technique is not good enough. He's a number 7, or 6 at best and really only worthy of a spot if fully fit and in form with the ball
