Why would Liverpool suspend him? He was representing Uruguay.

He is representing Liverpool every second of every day. He has disgraced himself, his club and his country again. Liverpool should fine himand suspend him, they won't as he is too good a player which is understandable but disappointing.

You might have been too young to remember USA 1994 Topdog, but that was a cracking World Cup as well - shithouse final notwithstanding

Mexico 1986 was a belter as well - goals galore and some epic matches. Brazil v France QF in 1986 was one of the best games ever played, as was USSR v Belgium in the R16

Staying up late watching Roger Milla scoring goals for fun and then Rossi come alive at the business end didnt help.

You might have been too young to remember USA 1994 Topdog, but that was a cracking World Cup as well - shithouse final notwithstanding

England Argentina my favourite. The thing in 94 that ruined the cup was what happened to Colombia.
Loved 90 as well in particular the run from Jackie Charltons boys.

Official: Suárez banned for nine matches and four months

Fifa's statement on Suárez: "Suspended for nine matches and banned for four months from any football-related activity"



Suárez was banned from Liverpool's first six matches of this (2013-14) season as a result of biting Ivanovic. As a result of this ban he will miss the first nine matches of next (2014-15 season).

Mexico was a great world cup - loved both of those games in particular USSR v Belgium. That Belgium in '86 was excellent with Ceulemans and Vercauteren. As the Dutch weren't in it I was gunning for Belgium.

Also loved USA 1994 - Holland did ok but came up against Brazil in the round of 16. Really enjoyed watching Romania play (in particular Hagi).

I reckon Italia 1990 was easily the worst world cup in my lifetime. So defensive and so many boring games. Did enjoy seeing the Irish have such a good run though.
