        He's right in the meaty part of the age curve we lack. I've always been sad he left i rate him but you can't keep a guy in the VFL getting 40 touches every week.

                    I think of Lippa and get sad we didn?t pick up Shai Bolton.
                    Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

                            Former Dogs mentor joins Bombers' coaching panel

                            WESTERN Bulldogs premiership coach Paul Groves has made a return to the NAB AFLW competition, joining Essendon as an assistant coach.

                            Groves guided the Dogs to a flag in 2018, but resigned after the following season to accept a job outside of football, the team winning two of seven games in 2019.

                            He was a surprise applicant to return to the Bulldogs earlier this year, a position ultimately won by Tam Hyett.

                            Groves has been head of sport at St Bernard's College since his departure from the AFLW, coaching the school's old boys side in the VAFA until 2022 (assistant at Old Melburnians this year) and leading the Big V representative women's team.

                                        He should get legend status when he retires 12 years and 57 games with 3 clubs.
                                        He is one of those players that you just can’t hate. Lovable no matter what.
                                        Wouldn’t be surprised to see his son play before he retires.
                                        Can we argue father son , 12 years in the system and he played the most games with us ?

                                                            BTC lives pretty close to me, he even popped into Zap Flemington during the pre-season.
                                                            Had a chat to him during lock down too when he was training with Ben Brown. He'd have to be a front-runner for 'best bloke in football'
