Had/has a lot of talent. Just seemed to lack that hunger/mongrel. Dees were desperate for a decent forward this year and the fact he didn’t get a game, especially when they were still in it in 2nd half of year indicates something awry. Good luck post AFL Josh. Had a soft spot for him.

The kid has talent but does not have the mentality. Recruiters scrutinise that a bit more these days.

I really wanted him to make it with us. But even a switch to the backline didn't last long.

He should have been paid that obvious free for front-on contact with a minute to go in the 3rd qtr of the 2021 GF when we were 6 points down. He takes the 30 seconds and slots that and scores are level at 3/4 time - we probably still lose but we don't completely crap the bed and concede 3 goals in the last 50 seconds of the 3rd to go 4 goals down and completely out of business.

Melbourne's apparent implosion now only pisses me off a little more about those minutes of madness late in the 3rd qtr in 2021.

On pure talent he might have gone a few picks too early but he hasn't fought hard enough to get the most out of his talent. Laconic players can make or break recruiters and coaches
