Jacob Blight appears destined for Pies as a delisted free agent. Is there a reason why we’re not interested in him? Surely we’ve got someone in mind! WADE Derksen?

Blight is so slow...I just cant see how he makes it. Reads the ball well - can't run. I'm not surprised at this...
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

The vibe from Richmond supporters was that he also wasn't a team player.

Some ITK poster on big footy is suggesting the Buku deal has been all agreed, so assuming we will hear about it early tomorrow

Are we being way too nice with the Khamis trade? Buku has his flaws but there was a patch this year where we needed him at both ends.

Buku is handy depth, we had a game against GWS this year where we had to swing Lobb forward late in the first and that was with Buku already there, where would we have been during rounds 5-12 if we hadn’t had Buku to fill gaps?

His market value shouldn’t be based on his performance it needs to be based on how critical he is to us in 2026. Given our lack of proven depth at both ends (and relief ruck) I would say he is critical. He gives us options to fill the third KPP at either end both of which he did last year and he gives us options to keep Lobb back and Darcy forward when Tim rests. We may not even pick him but that option is very important.

I would be holding him unless we have something coming in that we rate close to Buku.

              That's a reasonable view.
The knock on Khamis have been his inability to compete like he should when the ball is on the ground and his lack of endurance.
From his perspective he's played 41 games in 6 seasons so he hasn't really secured a spot. The club would see it that he's played 31 games in the last two seasons.
Then the Blues come calling and he now sees an opportunity to become a more regular player.

The trade has to be reasonable and the Blues are low-balling us indicating they're not really that serious or they're waiting for other picks to head their way in a Curnow trade.
I'd be more than happy to keep him if we can't achieve a reasonable deal.

If it’s already been agreed to this early in the piece surely that means Blues came to the table with something real?

Im very intrigued to see what we pull for Buku, going to tell me a lot about how we’re going at the trade table. If we pull less for a contracted Buku than we give up for an uncontracted Budarick that would be pretty poor.

I suspect we may have gotten what we wanted, ie pick 19 for Buku & later picks. Let’s hope so

That seems more than a little bit optimistic based on Riley Bevedige post.

Carlton has tabled a future third-round pick for a Bulldogs defender, but there remains a gap in valuations.

I'm on both sites but I don't find BF as having many genuine "in the know" members, some good ones who are often around the mark definitely but it's a very small group.
A few too many claiming to "know what they know" have been found out as being wrong.
The club has kept things super quiet, I don't think many at all have the full story but for Buku there wouldn't be the current stand off if an in principle deal has been arranged.
We would want a future 2 nd round pick, they are offering a future 3 rd so it's a decent gap.

C4 who posted that has spot on info going on 10 years, he’s 100% not full of shit. Probably the best ITK I’ve seen on BF.

i agree the rest are mostly full of shit, but he’s definitely the exception

It shouldn’t be too difficult they only need points, we need higher draft picks it should be quite easy to figure out a deal beneficial to both.

If we’ve agreed to a deal as of last night then they must have come to the table with a real offer otherwise it would continue to drag out you’d think

Carlton’s pick 22 is 686 points, our pick 33 is 382 points, so a fall of 304 points for Khamis. (According to zero hanger)

interestngly, the fall from 10 to 14 is less (252)

Carlton need points to match Charlie Dean this year and Cody Walker next year.
They're caught out just a bit at the moment and I think the Ainsworth trade has made it difficult for them with Khamis.
