Re: 2018 AFL -Trade Rumours and Discussion
He's a cream on the cake sort of player. Unfortunately the saints don't even have the flour yet. Has great skills but jeez i'd be filthy if we threw 800k at him. Not only that, but he's contracted so will probably cost the saints their pick 4. Is this just a desperate saving face move by the saints? Could be very costly in more ways than oneComment

Port have told Pittard & Hombsch they will be traded if they request one, and they're going guaranteed of starting in their 22 next year. GOLD Coast is shaping as a likely new home for Western Bulldogs hard nut Mitch Honeychurch.
The 23-year-old is uncontracted for next season, along with Lin Jong, Brad Lynch, Tom Campbell and Roarke Smith.
But Tom Liberatore and Mitch Wallis are expected to stay, even if there has been no movement on new deals for them, reports 7 News Melbourne ’s Mark Stevens.
Honeychurch looks to be on the way out and the Suns appear to be willing to give him a chance.
“Mitch Honeychurch a hard nut, you know exactly what you’re going to get in the contest,” Stevens tweeted.

Just scary to think what Bont will command if we can't lock him away before a 2019 bidding war for his signature commences.Comment

Re: 2018 AFL -Trade Rumours and Discussion
Makes sense for Miles. I know nothing about him but I wonder if we would have any interest in Keays since we nominated him (and Brisbane matched our bid) before we took Dunkley in the 2015 draft?
Out-of-favour Tiger mid meets with Gold Coast
OUT-OF-contract Richmond ball-getter Anthony Miles has met with Gold Coast about a possible move as the Suns look to bolster their midfield.
AFL.com.au understands Miles, who has played only one senior game this year, is on the Suns' radar ahead of next month's NAB AFL Trade Period.
Miles signed a one-year contract extension at the end of last season, but has not been able to break into Richmond's line-up apart from his 20-disposal and one-goal game against Port Adelaide in round 12.
He also managed just five games last year after he was squeezed out of the Tigers' first-choice midfield. Miles played 19 games in 2016, and averaged 23 disposals as well as booting 10 goals.
A move to the Suns would be the 26-year-old's third AFL club, having started his career at Greater Western Sydney before arriving at Punt Road for the 2014 season.
The Suns are on the hunt for midfield depth and experience to add to their list.
Brisbane midfielder Ben Keays is believed to have an interest in heading to the Suns for further opportunities after playing just two games for the Lions this year.
Keays, 21, is a Queenslander and joined Brisbane in 2015 as a product of the Lions Academy, but is unlikely to be a priority for the Suns during the exchange period.
The Suns hold pick No.2 at the national draft, and are expected to be given pick No.3 as compensation for losing co-captain Tom Lynch to free agency.
However, the top end of this year's pool doesn't have the same amount of midfield options as previous years, meaning the Suns could look to draft talls while targeting midfielders through trade or free agency.
The AFL is also considering ways to help the struggling Suns on-field, with one possibility the club will be given priority access to a number of mature-age players from state leagues.Comment

Re: 2018 AFL -Trade Rumours and Discussion
Yep, the Collins/Dunkley draft.
This is interesting, reported in the Hun:
ADELAIDE great Andrew Jarman believes Hawthorn could be ready to launch a stunning trade week double.
Jarman believes the Hawks are ready to trade for GWS star midfielder Dylan Shiel while also chasing Port Adelaide gun Chad Wingard.
Hawthorn are all over Dylan Shiel, in return they'll be offering their ruckman (Jon) Ceglar and a first-round draft pick.
"And Hawthorn want Chad Wingard as well.
Reports out of Adelaide suggested Wingard has put a $1 million-a-year price tag on himself.
$1m for Wingard, he'd want to recapture his 2015/2016 form.Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment

Ceglar and a late first sounds like a bigfooty deal - they can surely do better.- I'm a visionary - Only here to confirm my biases -Comment
