It would have to be a compelling trade for the Saints I would have thought. They could easily land someone like Rankine

Was there any legs to some earlier speculation about Ben Long potentially heading to us?

We seem to be covered for small forwards

I think it would probably come down to draft night. If they have Max King as their number 1, they probably can get him at pick 8 anyway. It's going to be interesting.

Yep, I know. My point is they need to actually recognise, as Gary has pointed out, that trade period has fundamentally changed, and not for the betterment of the game. The regulators need to review this and consider some changes to address the ways in which it is failing.

If we can't turn 27 into a player I want a 2nd round pick next year for it (plus late points this year depending on the club)

              That's a reasonable outcome.

Please no. He's been wrong to do with everything to us. Let this be the same.

don't think so. even if Adams goes we still have; Morris, Trengove, Roberts, Young, Cordy, Naughton, to cover key defensive posts which looks about rights in terms of depth and experience.

We are light for key forwards. He was a good forward as a junior but he doesn't have a strong record in the front half even at a club like Hawthorn in the AFL system. Has never scored more than 15 goals in a season.

So apparently GWS had an extra $3mil in the cap before COLA was removed. They're now crying poor because it's been removed.

My heart bleeds for them. Especially not winning that 2016 premiership that they were clearly positively geared towards winning.

Same here. He's been an okay player who fills a couple of roles for the Hawks but has played just 26 games for them in the last 3 years. We don't need a player like him at the moment and we could use Fletcher Roberts in that type of role if needed.

That's only a one pick upgrade because they're currently holding 6 from Freo.
