We will basically lose a good player for bugger all and I'm not happy about that. The fact that Roughead is also a good bloke makes it a bigger loss.
    Does seem a little odd.

We have next to no ruck depth too. Do we keep Campbell or find a state leaguer?

I think a state league player because I don't think Bevo would play Campbell

Would Zac Clarke be a slight chance?

I'm really sad to see him shipped out for very little return. I thought he was worth keeping for all the reasons you mention.

          Fit is the big keyword.

He wasn’t shipped out , I believe he was given a contract but decided to look around, which is his right and his decision.
Could be money or more game time or just wants a new start, but he wasn’t shipped out.

De Goey is a Robbie Gray type gun.

Roughie may have been indirectly shipped out. We could have retained him without too much of a hassle. I think we offered unders as a depth ruckman and he thought he was worth more.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Gold Coast have signed Sam Collins as their final state league player. Means that Will Hayes will be available to all in the draft.

Collins might have been a decent replacement for Adams. We will probably never know but I wonder if we at least asked the question?

Think that means they're acknowledging that May won't be there next year.

Re: 2018 AFL -Trade Rumours and Discussion

Kinda wish we'd gotten involved with the state leaguer selection stuff; if we've been linked with someone like Ben Cavarra then it'd be nice to stich up a goalkicking small who would be an upgrade on a few players on our list. Our trading seems to focus more on upgrading our depth and making sure our bottom 6 is at least capable of pinch-hitting unlike other teams.

Will be sadder to see him go than a lot of others higher up in the 22,( who have left us of late.)

I love that AFEL.com has to lead with 'Tiger in the Kennel' because SFA else happened today.

We are still linked with Duryea. It's probably an indication that the deal gets done

See G? This is why we need a 'not like' or 'not thanks' button. I would happily have clicked either.

It's there but I haven't switched it on There would be one or two that would stop posting all together and just rate if they liked a post or not
