I don't know why. Wingard was always leaving so they've made the most of it.

Maybe now we move our 7 to 6 with them with 35 for Adams.

This moving of BNE’s pick 5 can’t be making Freo happy with the Neale / Hogan deal.
I was thinking the same. I guess it depends if we have a specific target in that top 8.

I didn't consider we move closer to their pick. And it's probably going to Freo-Melbourne-GC anyway so what do they care if we do some leapfrogging

          Trade done

Hawthorn has traded Ryan Burton, Rd 1 (15), Rd 2 (35) & its Future Rd 4 Selection (on traded from W.Bulldogs) to Port Adelaide for Chad Wingard and its Future Rd 3 Selection.

Brisbane not involved but I suspect there will be another deal to follow

Port did well even allowing for the fact they lost a blue chip player in Wingard.

Brisbane getting on with things regardless of Fremantle stubborn approach

                          Brisbane currently have 6, 32, 35, 41, 44, 55, 78

Neale will be their priority with pick 6 plus something.

They could also end up with pick 18 plus a future second rounder for Beams.

Fremantle would want that pick 18 I suspect.

Quite likely. Perhaps Freo would send 23 or 30 back to Brisbane that could be used for Adams?

This is why I don't like the current trade machinations, pick 23 could be seen as a problem for us unless it was on-traded because we would most likely have to use it for Rhylee West. As it is, even using pick 27 might not be maximizing the value we could do for adding West.

It's hard to know how invested we are with getting a pick in the 20's for Adams which is our current position?
We probably should be all over it and we might very well have a plan for it in the scope of a bigger picture.

Could we even make a play for the Suns pick 3?
